TP-Link Deco W3600 Performance
As an AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh system, the Deco W3600 provided consistent coverage during my testing. To better evaluate its capabilities, throughput was measured at four distinct locations: the living room, kitchen, bedroom, and study room. In the living room (approximately 2m from the Deco W3600), the 5GHz band achieved a wireless throughput of 587 Mbps. This fully underscores the high speed advantages of Wi-Fi 6 technology and is more than capable of satisfying your demand for bandwidth-intensive applications such as 4K Ultra HD streaming, online gaming and more. Both the signal power and data rate decreased with distance and obstructing walls. In the kitchen (about 8m away and with a wall in between) throughput on the 5GHz band was measured at 325Mbps, while in the bedroom (about 12m distant with two walls), that increased to 148Mbps, and finally hit 468Mbps in the study room(around about 2m from satellite).
Distance | 5GHz throughput | 2.4GHz throughput | |
living room | 2 metres | 587 Mbps | 88 Mbps |
kitchen | 8 metres, separated by one wall | 325 Mbps | 67 Mbps |
bedroom | 12 metres, separated by two walls | 148 Mbps | 32 Mbps |
Satellite Deco W3600 location (study) | 2 metres | 468 Mbps | 72 Mbps |
Wireless throughput on the 2.4GHz band followed a similar pattern, with throughput of 88Mbps, 67Mbps, 32Mbps and 72Mbps in each spot.
