The TP-Link Archer AX20 is an excellent router. It can blanket the entirety of your home, has speeds sufficient for most high-bandwidth services, and is very stable. At less than $50, the Archer AX20 is a great option for a Wi-Fi 6 router.

The front panel of the TP-Link Archer AX20 router is equipped with a variety of status indicator lights to show the current network connection status. The network status light is coloured multi and turns orange if the network fails. On the back are 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 1 Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. It also offers a USB 2.0 attaching and sharing USB files through WLAN.

The Archer AX20 router can also wirelessly access USB external hard drive on other devices. Under side of the router is full of ventilation slot holes. The Archer AX20 can be wall-mounted, but you’ll need to buy screws yourself. The default Wi-Fi network name and password are printed on the label on the bottom of the router. Inside the packaging you will find the router itself with a CAT5E gigabit Ethernet cable, the power adapter and some user manuals. There is also a card that reminds you to download the Wi-Fi adapter drivers for your device to get a better experience with Wi-Fi 6 technology.

Archer AX20 Performance

Testing the TP-Link Archer AX20 router I tested the Netgear Nighthawk RAX50 with an iPhone 12 from three different locations inside a 2000-square-foot house (15 feet away from the living room center, a corner of a bedroom (40 feet), and the backyard (70 feet). We also tested the Archer AX20’s performance by testing its download and upload speeds at several spots around each testing site. The particular speeds evaluated are:

We put the router through different homes, and some with different devices on it at the same time. The TP-Link Archer AX20 was impressively reliable in our tests, as blazing fast speeds were consistently available whether you were in a room with previous routers had a hard time reaching.
